CAD/CAM

CATIA
Commonly referred to as a 3D Product Lifecycle Management process, CATIA supports multiple stages of product development.  The stages range from conceptualization through design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM), until analysis (CAE).  CATIA provides an open development architecture through the use of interfaces, which can be used to develop applications.  This arrangement is widely used throughout the engineering industry, especially in the automotive and aerospace sectors.  General Dynamics and the Boeing Company  have been using this type of process extensively.

Mastercam
Mastercam is a computer based mechanical CAD/CAM system.  Mastercam provides full 2D and 3D design capability for drawing mechanical parts, and creates output code for programming CNC multi axis, mill, laser, plasma cutting, lathe, wire EDM and other machine tools.

Solidworks
Solidworks uses a limited “parametric” approach to modeling and assembling.  In the 3D modeling environment the creation of a solid or surface begins the definition of topology.  Topology defines relationships between vertices and curves, and adds dimensions, which are termed “parameters”.  Parameters are fixed in the feature that contains them.  Components are then created and then assembled to define the relative positions of components to each other.  Drawings can then be automatically created either from parts or assemblies for manufacturing purposes.

3D CAD Translation
Utilization of “TransMagic” allows for state-of-the-art 3D CAD translation, including formats with every CAD software system. We can support most major MCAD and neutral formats such as:

We can eliminate the need to rework translated models for use in other CAD systems, automate file repair tools, and recondition parts for use as solid models.
